SociBike Cargo Bikes
SociBike is a manufacturer of electrically assisted cargo bikes. These are not ordinary cargo bikes, but cargo bikes with a story. Owner Peter Schouten has experienced in his close environment what it does to people when they end up on the sidelines. They have no reason to get out of bed in the morning and when they come home in the evening, they cannot be proud of what they have done that day. A Social Enterprise is a business with a social mission. As a social enterprise, we provide products and services from a revenue model. We are not only ‘social’ but also ‘entrepreneurial’. However, we do not see making money as the most important goal. Business success is a means to our goal: creating social value by helping people with a distance to the labor market to get a paid job.
